In the meantime, we would still love to hear from you &#8211; please feel free to get in touch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Sunday 7th February \u2013 Closing\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xX5mWoIYI3I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2>Reflections for the Week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Peter 1: 12 \u2018So\u2019 is better translated as <em>therefore<\/em> as Peter refers to the <em>very important truths<\/em> covered in verse 1-11 and covered in the previous 4 sermons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>God has given us everything we need for a godly life.<\/li><li>God called us by his powerful grace.<\/li><li>Grace inspires us to live by godly virtues to enter God\u2019s kingdom &amp; testify of our salvation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>They know &amp; are firmly established the truth but he will keep reminding them \u2013 <strong>Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"a\"><li>Eternal life is at risk! If I claim to be a Christian but I live ungodly, it\u2019s a big problem! Much better to confront that now than lament it for eternity in hell! (1 Cor. 6; Gal. 5).<\/li><li>Godly truth strengthens us in mind AND spirit, giving us the power to live a godly life.<\/li><li>He knows he will be martyred soon (AD 68) &amp; that false teachers are in their churches.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Peter hoped his words would stab the believers awake so they would reject what the opponents taught. Believers know the gospel, and yet they must, in a sense, relearn it every day.<\/em><br>&#8211; T.
